Slash plays Fundição Progresso in April 2027, and Rio gets half the room it got in 2024

Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators bring four Brazilian dates in April 2027. The venue list is the interesting part, and it moves in two directions at once.

Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators play four Brazilian cities in April 2027. An aggregator will give you the dates and the ticket link. The rooms are the part worth looking at, because they tell two stories and the two contradict each other.

The dates, and the on-sale ladder

Four shows, 10 to 14 April 2027:

  • 10 April: Arena Opus, Florianópolis (São José)
  • 11 April: Live Curitiba, Curitiba
  • 13 April: Fundição Progresso, Rio de Janeiro
  • 14 April: Espaço Unimed, São Paulo

Tickets go through Eventim. Artist and Itaú pre-sales opened 7 October at 10h, Spotify pre-sale 8 October at 12h, general sale 9 October, 10h online and 11h at the box office (Igor Miranda). For Rio, doors at 19h, show at 21h, 18+, Fundição Progresso at Rua dos Arcos 24 in Lapa (ES Brasil). Pista prices in Rio run R$150 meia, R$180 social, R$255 Itaú, R$300 inteira. Buy from Eventim, not from a date in a blog post, including this one. Our full agenda of announced Brazilian shows lives at /shows/.

Brazil does not open this tour. The Flying Blind World Tour starts 2 April 2027 at Teatro Caupolicán in Santiago, then Argentina, then Brazil, and runs through 26 July (Ultimate Classic Rock). The four Brazilian dates close the South American leg.

Rio: 9,500 in 2024, about 5,000 in 2027

In February 2024 this same band played Rio at Qualistage, a venue that takes 9,500 standing, on The River Is Rising Tour (Wikimetal). In April 2027 they play Fundição Progresso, which holds roughly 5,000 (Wikipedia).

Half the room, two years later. That could read as a bad sign, and it would if the rest of the leg moved the same way. It does not.

Florianópolis goes the other direction, and hard

In 2019 the Conspirators played Florianópolis at Stage Music Park. In 2027 they play Arena Opus in São José, the former Arena Petry, the largest venue in Greater Florianópolis at 17,500 (Baguete, Acontecendo Aqui). That is more than double São Paulo’s Espaço Unimed, which tops out at 8,000 standing and 4,000 seated (Espaço Unimed).

So the same band, on the same leg, in the same week: 17,500 in Florianópolis, about 5,000 in Rio, 8,000 in São Paulo. Those numbers do not describe a band’s standing. They describe four different promoters making four different bets on four different cities, which is how Brazilian touring has always worked and almost nobody says out loud.

What Fundição Progresso actually is

Drop the capacity question for a second and look at the building, because the Rio booking is the most interesting one on the list.

Fundição Progresso was the Fábrica de Fogões Progresso, a stove factory. It shut in 1976. In 1982 artists and producers occupied it to stop the demolition, and it later became a cultural centre with BNDES funding (Wikipedia): a squatted factory in Lapa the city never got to knock down.

It is not the quirky indie room, either. Its international roster reads Slayer, Motörhead, Marilyn Manson, Greta Van Fleet, Epica, Tarja Turunen. When heavy music lands in Rio and does not go to an arena, it lands there. Slash is playing the Rio room for this music, in a hall where the walls have taken Motörhead.

A guitarist who fills stadiums with Guns N’ Roses is playing a stage where Lemmy Kilmister stood, in a factory the neighbourhood refused to lose. Whatever the capacity reads, that is a better night than a shed on the edge of town.

The Curitiba detail: same stage, eight years later

Live Curitiba, 11 April 2027, is the same venue the band played on 24 May 2019 on the Living the Dream run (setlist.fm). The ticket listings will not make that connection for you. Of the four 2027 rooms, Curitiba is the only repeat from 2019. Florianópolis changed buildings, São Paulo moved from Espaço das Américas to Espaço Unimed, and Rio was not on that eight-city 2019 list at all, though the band did play the city in 2015 and again in 2024.

That makes Curitiba the control in this experiment: same stage, same band, two albums apart. If you went in 2019 and you go in 2027, you are the only person in Brazil who can tell whether anything changed, because every other city changed the room under your feet.

The record it is supporting

Flying Blind is the band’s fifth studio album, out 26 February 2027 on Gibson Records, the label Slash is signed to as an artist (slashonline.com). A title track and video arrived with the announcement in October 2026.

Slash has described the record as a “really fun, kind of spontaneous rock ’n’ roll record”, and as “straightforward and down-to-earth and raw” (Ultimate Classic Rock).

That is worth holding against the venue list. A raw, spontaneous, straightforward record is a record built for a room where you can see the drummer’s face. Whether a promoter in Florianópolis booked 17,500 seats for that record is a different question, and it is not Slash’s to answer.

Neither Slash nor Myles Kennedy has a published quote about these specific shows, or about the choice of halls. If one appears, the on-sale window will already be closed.

The thread to pull next

The band on these dates has been stable since 2010: Myles Kennedy on vocals, Todd Kerns on bass, Brent Fitz on drums, Frank Sidoris on second guitar. Sixteen years is longer than most of the bands whose t-shirts will be in the Fundição crowd lasted in their classic line-up, and almost nobody talks about the Conspirators as a band with a history. They have one, and the next thing we want to map is how Kennedy’s two jobs feed each other, because Alter Bridge and this band do not sound like the same singer and that is a choice somebody made.

The other open question is the one the capacity numbers raise. Rio at half the size, Florianópolis at more than triple São Paulo: if you were at Qualistage in 2024 and you are going to Fundição in 2027, you will have the clearest read in the country on which room this band is actually built for.
