The Night Heart Played "Stairway to Heaven" Back to Led Zeppelin, With John Bonham's Son on Drums
Kennedy Center Honors, Washington, 2 December 2012: Ann and Nancy Wilson sing the song they learned in Seattle bars, and the man behind the kit is wearing his dead father’s hat.
First, the correction
The premise that started this piece was “Heart’s drummer is the son of Led Zeppelin’s drummer.” That is wrong today. Heart is on the road in 2026 with Sean Lane on drums (The Rock Revival). The show people remember, the one that keeps getting passed around, is older. It happened at the Kennedy Center Honors on 2 December 2012, went out on CBS on 26 December, and it spawned a whole tour the following year. That night is what this piece is about.
Three Sisters, One Pocket: What The Warning's Fifth Album Says About Rock's Family Bands
“Kerosene” put a Monterrey trio at No. 1 on Mainstream Rock Airplay — the first Mexican band and the first all-women band to do it in the chart’s 45 years. The interesting part isn’t the milestone. It’s what a shared childhood actually does to a rhythm section, and why the answer isn’t what anyone assumes.
The album, quickly, because it’s the excuse and not the story
The Warning released Everything’s Falling on 28 August 2026 — album five, twelve tracks, 39:04, out on Lava/Republic and produced by Anton DeLost. Three singles led it out: “Kerosene” in March, “Ego” in May, “Ritual” in June. It landed on ten Billboard charts, including No. 2 Top Rock Albums and No. 4 Top Hard Rock Albums.
